Watch the fourth event in our 'The Art of Conversation' series, which took place at the Fondazione Rovati in Milan on April 11, 2023.

Taking place during Milan's art week, the event centred on a conversation between the Italian artist Pietro Ruffo – whose artwork features in the Deutsche Bank Collection and is currently exhibited at the Deutsche Bank headquarters in Frankfurt – and Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, Director of MAXXI Arte, Rome’s National Museum of 21st Century Art.

Many collectors and representatives of the Italian contemporary art scene attended the talk, which was opened by Nathan Clements-Gillespie, Director of Frieze Masters, Giovanna Forlanelli Rovati, President of the Luigi Rovati Foundation and Claudio Detti, Head of Bank for Entrepreneurs and Wealth Management, Deutsche Bank Italy.

During the event, guests had the unique chance to experience an exclusive guided tour through Fondazione Rovati’s permanent collection of Etruscan artefacts and modern and contemporary artworks by artists including Pablo Picasso, Lucio Fontana, Andy Warhol and Diego Giacometti.

First launched in 2022, ‘The Art of Conversation’ series is a collaboration between Deutsche Bank Wealth Management and Frieze designed to bring together leading institutions, artists and collectors to discuss and explore developments in contemporary art. Further events in the series are planned for 2023, both in Italy and abroad.
